Applications are invited from eligible Class XII pass-out aspiring for admission to 4-year (8-semester) Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) programme of the Institute at Mesra for the academic session 2016-17.  

Selection will be made on the basis of merit, that will be drawn by giving -

• 60% weightage to JEE (Main) 2016 / NEET-UG 2016 Score [total marks obtained] and
• 40% weightage to academic performance (marks in Class 12 / equivalent qualifying examination

 Start a career in pharmacy, a candidate needs to opt for D.Pharma or B.Pharma after completion of 12th class. Both PCB and PCM  Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)stream students can apply for these courses.

1. D.Pharma: It’s a two-year diploma course in pharmacy.
2. B.Pharma: It’s a four-year degree course in pharmacy.

Admissions to D. Pharma or B. Pharma are mostly on the basis of ranks obtained in entrance exams conducted by the states or the university. After completion of B.Pharma one can go for M.Pharma for specialization, and after that one may register himself/herself for post doctorate degree or Ph. D.

B. Tech. Four years Full Time:

    Passed or appearing in, 10+2 examination of CHSE,Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology/ Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Geology / Statics. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

B. Tech through Lateral Entry (Three yrs.)

For admission into 2nd year Degree courses in Engineering/Technology courses under Lateral Entry for Diploma holders:    Passed or appearing in diploma examination in Engineering from State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.

• Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
• Passed B. Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject
• Provided that in case of students belonging to B. Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second year subjects.
• Provided further that, the students belonging to B. Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
• Provided further that students, who have passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE approved institution or B. Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
